With the "Make it for me" service we will build the gangsheet for you. Simply send us your ready to print files to our email (DTF@SouthernThreadworks.com)
If you would like specific sizing please include that in the email with your images, as well as the number of copies per image/size you are wanting printed.
For the "Make it for me" service we will automatically remove any excess transparent boarder in your design and resize to the size requested. Image sizing is done by width only.
Names(such as left chest names or names and numbers on a jersey) are usually done by height and we will communicate with you on appropriate sizing for them. We know some names can get pretty long!
Please Note:
If you select your width yourself we do not offer free reprints or refunds
if your print is too large or too small.
If you have us size it for you, that you are agreeing to the DTF sizing sheet we go by and that we will not offer free reprints or refunds.
For the "Make it for me" service we charge by the linear inch. You can view our current pricing in the image above. The pricing is dependent on the total length rounded up to the next inch. We will provide the print total along with a payment link before proceeding with any order.
These are the sizing that we will use if no size is requested and only shirt size is provided. If you want your print larger or smaller than our listed sizing you must tell us the size you want.
All measurements are for Width in inches*
Designs that are much taller than they are wide may not fit your shirt at your selected shirt size, in these cases we will let you know and adjust the print sizing to a smaller width
to accommodate if you have us select the print size.
Please Note:
If you select your width yourself we do not offer free reprints or refunds
if your print is too large or too small.
If you have us size it for you, that you are agreeing to the above DTF sizing sheet we go by and that we will not offer free reprints or refunds.
While we do understand a print sizing may not be what you had in mind, everyone has a different idea on a size they want their prints created at and there is no one size fits all. The above DTF Sizing sheet is the sizing we at Southern Threadworks go by when given the choice. If you feel the above sizing is too big or too small you will need to give us the sizing you want.

We love getting premade gangsheets!

Pricing for premade gangsheets are done within the above inches listed. For lengths 120" and below pricing is rounded up to the next bracket.
For example if you have a gangsheet that is 51 inches in length the pricing will be based on the 60" gangsheet length. If you have a gangsheet that is 48.5" in length it will also be priced at 60"
For lengths exceeding 120" and 240" we do offer inbetween pricing based on total length rounded up to the next inch.

240" and above the price is currently $0.53 per linear inch.
Please check your gangsheets!
We do not offer any alterations or confirmation on premade gangsheets. With these customer provided sheets we simply load them into our program and proceed with the print.
We currently offer single prints off of our Epson 2100 Printer. We sell prints from this machine based on the sheet.

4 inches tall.

A half sheet is 15.25 inches wide by 9.25 inches tall.
$5.00
A Full sheet is 15.50 Inches wide by 19.50 inches tall
$10.00
Please keep in mind as this is a different printer from our Gangsheet printer the colors may vary. We can print singles on our gangsheet printer, however they will be priced as mentioned in the "Make it for me!" service beginning at 13 inches.
(If you want a design that is only a total linear length of 8 inches it will still be priced at the base 13")
We offer pressing services if you would like us to do it for you. For us to press it for you we charge $3.00 per location.
We also have a Dual Pneumatic Heat press that is available for rent in 30 minute increments. It is $10.00 per 30 minutes.
For the rental, advance notice is appriciated to avoid any overlap for usage as well as to make sure the press is turned on and ready to go instead of needing to wait for it to heat up.
The rental will include showing you how to use the press, teflon cover sheets, heat tape and pillows if needed. We do not have shirt guides that align via the collar.
Our press has a Manual mode which requires you to initial the press each time, and an Automatic mode which the press will go on its own when in position. You may use either option that suits you. It is also equiped with lasers if you prefer to use those.
Times and temperatures are already set and we do request that they are not touched or altered in any way.
A signed waiver will be required for each rental.
We do offer pressing on outside DTF or HTV that you bring in. It will be the same price that is listed in "What about pressing?"
$3.00 per location for us to press for you or you can rent our press at $10.00 per 30 minutes.
Please keep in mind we cannot guarentee the outcome of pressing outside prints.
We do not know the printing process of other companies, adhesive usage/coverage, ink layer amounts, white toner hacks, dtf hacks, or how old that particular HTV cutout is. It is not possible for us to know the quality of design you bring us to have pressed.
Please reach us at sales@southernthreadworks.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
DTF is a printing method that prints ink directly onto a transfer film which can then be applied to a garment or item of your choosing with a heat press.
DTF has several advantages
No Minimum Order Requirements
Like DTG, DTF allows us to print one shirt just as easily as many shirts
Turn Around Times
DTF printing can allow fast turn around times in comparison with traditional screen printing. Potentially same day printing if you bring your own shirt and already have your design ready to go.
"Picture Perfect"
Similar to DTG, we are able to print pictures and images more accurately than traditional screen printing. DTF also has slightly bright coloring than DTG
Water-based Ink
Water-based ink makes this printing method eco-friendly as well as gives the end result a softer feel than traditional screen printing.
Fabric Variety
Unlike DTG, DTF prints can be placed on almost any fabric, from 100% cotton, to 100% polyester, to tri-blends and more. We have even applied a DTF print to wood!
We Accept Outside Images!
You are welcome to come in and see what images we have available for DTF or if you would like you can send your own! We gladly print images purchased from etsy and other sites. We ask that all customer supplied images be a high quality png file with a transparent background.
Picture Quality Matters
We print all images as they are sent to us. If they have a white background, are grainy, etc those qualities will print. We can sometimes remove a white background if requested however our program is not 100% and we do not quarantee a perfect removal. If you send a tiny logo and request it in a larger print, it WILL print out grainy and pixilated. We do offer clean up services starting at $15 per hour on non-photograph images. Clean up services are not available for same day print requests.
Thin Lines
Please keep in mind, if your design has really thin lines, tiny text, etc, it may not come out in DTF. DTF requires white ink be printed on top of color, this white ink is what allows the curing powder to be applied to the print. On super thin lines or tiny text there may not be enough surface area for a white print to be overlayed and if that happens the powder will most likely not stick. This Powder is required for the DTF print to be applied to your garment.
Transparency
DTF does not print transparency. Since DTF uses white ink to create a base for the powder to adhere to it is unable to effectively print any kind of transparency. In some cases the powder may stick to the transparent section without the white but we cannot guarantee it will adhere to your garment or how it will come out. In most cases transparent sections will be printed with a halftone effect to help create that shaded look.
